Peter M. Levine, MD, MMM
As a board certified psychiatrist, I counsel patients from late
adolescence through all stages of adulthood, specializing in the
evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of mental disorders
including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders and
substance abuse disorders.
My expertise is in the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders and
symptoms in complex medically ill patients. These
patients may have acute and/or chronic medical, neurological,
obstetrical or surgical illnesses. Psychiatric illness
may affect an individual's medical care or may be the
direct consequence one's primary medical illness.
Professional help in these areas leads to better health and quality of
life.
Navigating through the stresses arising from one's personal and professional
lives presents challenges as well. I offer a wealth of experience in
assisting patients address the issues that may be preventing them from
having the quality of life they desire. I value being an ethical
psychiatrist who is both reliable and practical while delivering the best
evidence-based care.
Currently, I am only providing my psychiatric services through
telepsychiatry. Telepsychiatry is a process that uses a telecommunications
device (phone or computer) to provide psychiatric services to patients who
are separated from the psychiatrist by a distance and/or those who feel more
comfortable talking from their home or any other location of their choice.
