The following services are offered:
Psychiatric Diagnostic Evaluation
At this initial session, I explore the nature of the presenting
problem(s) and perform a thorough biopsychosocial evaluation. This
includes a family history, past personal history, medical and past
psychiatric history and mental status examination. Any relevant medical,
psychiatric or personal records will be reviewed, which will allow me
to make either a tentative or definitive diagnosis and formulate a
treatment plan. The patient will have input into this plan and its
implementation. There may be several different recommendations for
follow-up visits: (1) No specific follow-up may be needed and I
could be consulted in the future on an "as needed" basis;
(2) medication management; (3) psychotherapy sessions; or
(4) a combination of medication management and psychotherapy.
While the initial session is 90 minutes, there may be occasions due to
the nature of the presenting problem(s) that one or more evaluation
sessions are needed.
Medication Management
These sessions are for the purpose of evaluating whether the medication
is beneficial to you as well as how it is being tolerated. These
sessions are typically 30 minutes.
Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy sessions may occur alone or combined with medication
management. I offer psychotherapy services to individuals, couples,
families and groups. Individual sessions are typically scheduled for
either 45 or 60 minutes. Couple and family sessions may range from 60-90
minutes.
